New Loos! in Cambodia

A group of engineering students (pictured below; from top left Craig Hogan, Brooke Marshall, Stephen Andersen & Alice Bullock) at the University of Queensland (pictured left) are working on new toilets for a water-based community in Cambodia.

These guys are called 'Latrinology Tech' and they are making a new waste management system that will turn poo into power. Power that can be used in lights and cooking.

Latrinology Tech are aiming to have these systems finished by the end of this year or next. Hopefully, they will be used in Tonle Sap, a small village in Cambodia (click here for a video tour).

Right now, they're working with Engineers Without Borders Australia and Live and Learn Environmental Education.
